Invasion from Earth is a neat small game for killing your time. See the release notes (readme.txt) for story line and instructions.
Programmed with Visual Basic 6.0. Also full project documentation included in downloads though it's not probably very important for 99.99% of the developers either. I just needed to do it to earn some credits from my faculty but must say it was very educational and certainly improved my documentation skills.
